It is the drive created by capitalistic big business that takes much of the credit for our improved quality of life. Profits from food manufacturers has allowed for the development of less expensive processing of food, as well as greater yields in crops throughout the world. There are dozens of examples where capitalism and money have dramatically helped the human cause. Capitalism is not the enemy, capitalism and money is a catalyst that drives people to create better and more efficient materials that ultimately enhance every human beings life on the planet. Education is essential to the success of individuals as well as countries. Intelligence and understanding give people the chance to make a living in a free society in a way that is more than just physical labor. People who are well educated generally receive higher wages and have the ability to provide better for their families, as well as donate more to charities. Educated people within a society help drive innovations and question norms to create and continuously improve on a society. Education gives a society a competitive advantage over other countries that do not have the ability to improve or invent newer and better ways of producing goods, growing food, processing information etc. The personal benefits for people who understand the equation for success, whether inherently understood or by conscious thought are great. Men and women who realize how to succeed in the United States are lucky. Of the four variables in the equation; only religion and education have to be personally accumulated. Freedom and capitalism are intrinsic in American life and so are a given to the lucky people of the United States. Our forefathers who worked day and night designing our current state of government were way ahead of their time. Page: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 |
